Welcome to the Lawrence Park CI Alumni Association!  This group has been formed by interested former LPCI students and staff from a number of decades.  The hope is that the Association can be the vehicle to reconnect with our high school and remember the great times we all had at the school. 

 

The initial focus of the preliminary group has been twofold.  First, to look at and for archival material around the school and centralize it, so that it can be properly displayed to reflect the school’s important heritage.  An Archives group has been formed who are working to identify what we have, what is missing and how we can properly and appropriately display our shared history. 

 

Second, a group has been developing a website, to be used as the main communications vehicle of the Association.  This site – which we’re launching today – has lots of interesting items:  a growing number of scanned copies of Roburs (currently years 1939-1945) thanks to our amazing student volunteers;  year representatives to help facilitate communications between class members and help to organize reunions;  a video walk through of the school as it looks today;  an account of past award winners, and photos from different events. 

 

We’re very excited about this initiative, but it will only be successful if we have more people willing to join – and hopefully help, even in very limited ways.  Whether your interest is in being a class rep, working with the archives group, helping to develop an alumni/current student mentorship program – or other ideas you may have, we need your help and support!  Please take a look through the website which will hopefully bring back fond memories.  And then think about joining up to receive information about what is going on.  Just click on the ‘Connect’ button on the website.  But most of all – consider getting involved and refreshing your support for the good old gold and blue!
